We are Canadian-born Kiwi citizens living in the Far (Winterless) North of New Zealand. We have 12 acres on a hill overlooking Ninety Mile Beach, which curves up the west coast to the very northern tip of the North Island. This area is known as Cape Reinga, and in Maori legend it is the place where souls leave earth on their journey to the afterlife, a powerful and beautiful place indeed.

The family consists of the two of us, one Chocolate Lab named Shintu, and three tabby cats from Waiheke Island who have been happily transplanted to the Far North.
We have retired from our previous occupations, building and cabinetmaking, and started a company importing composting toilets from Canada. Since both of our families and most of our dearest friends are around 10,000 miles away, we are grateful for the technology that keeps us in touch.
